I have an old studio photograph of Orton MUSGRAVE which appears to have been taken in the 1890's or early 1900's with Orton likely in his teens or 20's at the time. A note on the back of the photograph also references some research info regarding Orton and his parents Oscar Edward MUSGRAVE and Mary TRIPPLE. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Orton and his family:
Orton Morton MUSGRAVE was b. 15 Nov 1878 or 1879 in Wells County, IN or Mecosta County, MI to parents Oscar Edward or Edwin MUSGRAVE (1839 or 1842-1915) and Mary “Molly” Marie TEEPLE (1855-1932) who were married in Indiana. Orton had one sibling, a brother Oscar Roscoe MUSGRAVE (1876- 1932 or 1959). His father was married previously and had another son, Wayne M. MUSGRAVE (1870-1941). Orton married Etta “Ettie” WHITE (1882-1919) on 27 Jun 1911 in Big Rapids, MI and he died 2 Nov 1949 in Mount Pleasant, MI and is buried in the Flake Cemetery in Barryton, MI.
I’d like to get the photograph to a family member and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family or you know someone who might be.
Thanks,
Shelley
