Raymond Milton Olney
I have an old postcard photograph of Raymond M. OLNEY which was taken at the Lawrence Photo Studio in Lawrence, MA and dated 17 May 1921. Raymond is identified as 4 months and 1 day old. The photograph was gifted to Mrs. Edwin ANDREWS of Phenix, RI. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Raymond and his family:

Raymond Milton OLNEY was b. 16 Jan 1921 in Rhode Island to parents Walter Everett OLNEY (1888-1967) and Phebe W. ANDREWS (1891-1962). Raymond was one of three children born to this couple including Mildred Irene; Ralph Everett; and Raymond Milton OLNEY, all born between 1911 and 1921. Raymond married twice, first to Rosemary Harrison PLACE (1921-1974) and they had a daughter and a son, then second to Catherine SCHMITT (1925-2020) in 1946 and they had a son, Paul OLNEY (b. 1946). Raymond died 25 Nov 1995 in Coventry, RI and is buried in the Plainfield Cemetery in that city.

I’d like to get the photograph to a member of his family and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family or know someone who might be.

Thanks,
Shelley

I want to build a place where my son can meet his great-grandparents. My grandmother Marian Joyce (Benning) Kroetch always wanted to meet her great-grandchildren, but she died just a handful of years before my son's birth. So while she didn't have the opportunity to meet him, at least he will be able to know her. For more information about what we're building see About AncientFaces. My father's side is full blood Sicilian and my mother's side is a combination of Welsh, Scottish, German and a few other European cultures. One of my more colorful (ahem black sheep) family members came over on the Mayflower. He was among the first to be hanged in the New World for a criminal offense he made while onboard the ship.
