Alexander Allen
I have an old studio photograph of Alexander ALLEN which was taken at the Krupp Studio in Saginaw E. S., MI in the 1890’s or early 1900’s. Alexander appears to be in his 60’s at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Alexander and his family:
Alexander ALLEN was b. 17 Oct 1838 or 2 or 21 Feb 1839 in Ohio to parents James ALLEN and Leona or Lena KIRKWOOD. Alexander married Europa America STOGDILL (1847-1930) and they had three children including Robert Alexander or Martin; Eustace; and Alice L. ALLEN, all born between 1866 and 1873. Alexander died 15 Aug 1902 in Saginaw, MI and is buried in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Saginaw, MI. His death certificate says he was married 26 years and had 3 children/2 living, so that would suggest that he had a wife after Europa as well.
I am hoping to locate someone from this ALLEN Family so that the photograph can be return to the care of his family. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me.

Florence Annis ROGERS was b. 27 Jan 1897 in Manchester, NY to parents Judson Dexter ROGERS (1870-1924) and Almeda Dana CHURCH (1875-1941). Florence had one sibling, a brother Charles William ROGERS (1906-1955). Florence married Boyd James ALLEN (1895-1967) and they had 8 children including Catherine A.; Boyd James Jr.; Charles John; and Donald Frank ALLEN along with four others, all born between 1921 and 1937. Florence died 16 Nov 1973 in Elmira, NY and she is buried in the Tioga Point Cemetery in Athens, PA.
Mildred Louise ROGERS was b. 1884 in New York to parents James L. ROGERS (b. 1846) and Elizabeth ZIMMERMAN (1849-1910). Mildred had one sibling, a brother Charles ROGERS (1876-1935). Mildred married Clarence Truman HARVEY (b. 1889) on 16 Jun 1910 in Ontario Co., NY and they had two children including Donald Givens HARVEY (1914-1975) and Vivian Ruth HARVEY (b. 1920). Mildred died in 1960 and is buried in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Throop, NY.

Elizabeth was one of 7 children born to this couple including Albacinda L.; Nelson; Elizabeth; Dorliska “Dork”; Sarah; Emma; and Flora Belle ZIMMERMAN, all born between 1844 and 1865. Elizabeth died 18 Dec 1910 in Sayre, PA while visiting with her son Judson Dexter ROGERS from her home in Geneva, NY. She was survived by sons Judson D. ROGERS and Charles H. ROGERS and her daughter Mrs. Clarence F. HARVEY of Dunkirk, NY.
Charles H. ROGERS was b. 1875 and married Edith M. CODET (1879-1934) and they had a son, Herbert L. ROGERS (1904-1964). Charles was a well-known engineer in Lehigh, PA. Charles died in 1936 and is buried in the Tioga Point Cemetery in Athens, PA, he was survived by his son Herbert ROGERS and his sister Mrs. Clarence HARVEY of Auburn, NY.
Charles W. ROGERS was b. 1906 in Pennsylvania to parents Judson D. ROGERS (1870-1924) and Almeda D. CHURCH (1875-1941). Charles married Donna B. ROGERS (1908-1979) and they had a daughter, Betty J. ROGERS (1928-1928). Charles died in 1955 and is buried in the Tioga Point Cemetery in Athens, PA.
Judson D. ROGERS was b. Sept 1870 in New York and married Almeda D. CHURCH (1875-1941) and they had Florence Annis ROGERS and Charles W. ROGERS. Judson died in 1924 and is buried in the Tioga Point Cemetery in Athens, PA.

She married James Phillip Edward Allen in 1888, and had children Violet Elsie May Allen, James Henry Norman Allen, Hilda Frances Allen, Ida May Allen, Charles Joseph Allen, and Albert Bartlett Allen. Charlotte Allen died at age 95 years old on August 10, 1963 in Camberwell.

Ethel Rosina Tasker was born September, 5, 1909 in Itchen, England. She was the daughter of Mary Ann Jones Tasker and William Tasker, both born in Wales. Her parents had lived in England for about 5 years by the time their third child, Ethel, was born, and always considered themselves Welsh.
In the 1911 English census records, the Tasker family was living at No. 170 Mortimer Road, Itchen, Hampshire, England. The family is listed with the following ages:

Father, William Tasker, has a noted occupation " journeyman sail maker", working in a nearby ship yard.
Ethel's family immigrated to the states in 1913, settling in Lead, South Dakota. Her father filed his 'first papers' (intent to become a US citizen for himself and family) in South Dakota, and obtained his final papers on 2 Nov 1919 after moving to West Seattle, Washington.
According to the 1920s census Ethel Rosina Tasker was 10 years old living at 46 Ave South West in Seattle Washington. Her father William Tasker was 40, mother Mary A. Tasker was 37, brother William Harold Tasker was 13, her sister Eileen Constance Tasker was 11 and Ethel was 10 years old. The Tasker children later attended West Seattle High School, where Ethel's sister, Connie, carved her initials behind the clock in the Clock Tower. The two Tasker daughters were known for sneaking out of the house in the middle of the night, attending parties their strict parents had forbidden them to go to, and other rowdy antics that weren't repeated to their grandchildren and nieces until their latter years of life.
In the 1930 census Ethel was still living at home with her parents ( 3021 Belvidere Avenue, West Seattle) and not working at that time. Ethel was very close to her father, William, and must have been devasted when he passed away January of 1934. Her only brother, Willie, passed away from pneumonia in November of the same year.
On 18th January, 1939 Ethel set sail from the Port of Vancouver, arriving in Honolulu a week later. She and her mother had been residing at 201 Olympic Place, Seattle, at the time.
Ethel met Floyd Allen, her future husband, in Honolulu. Floyd was working at a piano shop and had been living in Honolulu for a year or so prior to Ethel's arrival. They married in May, 1939 five months after Ethel arrived and made their home in Waikiki.
By 1940, Ethel's mother Mary Ann Tasker was resided with the couple at #334 Ohua Avenue, Honolulu.
Ethel and Floyd returned to the states in September of 1942, settling in Idaho. Their daughter, Nancy, was born in Boise years later. After her birth, they moved to Idaho Falls were they spent most of their married life.

Jerry "Duke" D. Allen, Sr., 75, of Easton, Palmer Township, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday evening, September 16, 2020, at St. Luke's Hospital, Anderson Campus, Easton. He was the husband of the late Sheila A. (Shumate) Allen who passed in 2015. Born in Beckley, WV, he was a son of the late Earl, Sr. and Maude (Livesay) Allen.
Duke was employed as a produce manager for the ShopRite Corporation, Hatfield, PA, previously Phillipsburg, NJ. He was a Baptist. Duke enjoyed traveling and the occasional casino visit.
Survivors: Daughter, Lisa D. wife of Glenn Smith of Easton. Son, Jerry D. Allen, Jr. of Easton. 2 grandchildren, Joshua, and Sara. 3 great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Brayden, and Lyla. Sisters, Sally Pritchard of Lehigh Township, and Sarah Sharp of NC. Brothers, Robert Allen and Jimmy Allen, both of FL. Numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Betty, Patsy, Rose, Phyllis, and Sue, as well as brothers, William, Earl Jr., Eddy, and Danny.

I am the grand-daughter of Catherine Weinzettel Allen. Catherine was married to George L. Allen. Catherine was the daughter of Louis Weinzettel, Sr. and Josephine (Weaver) Weinzettel. hello my name is sidney allen but they call me craig. i am in the allen family out of the fort valley georgia area. also have relatives in the vidalia area but not sure how many.only on i heard of is my uncle hank allen.my grand father was william homer allen born in 1900.not sure were.if anyone has info about this side of the allen clan please e-mail me. thanks
