this was found along the remains of what seems to be the end of a Bell and Howard Photographers wares.

there are no distinct markings or readings for this photo.. the crocheted lace work n her dress indicates its between 1887-1899..1900..in the corner in very faded letters reads"Roberts"
just discovered..on top of photo in extreme fadeing ink markings either read Josie or Jessie..Very hard to make it out. This photo ia approxam.100 plus yrs there are no distinct dates..found also in flea market in La.

this was found amoungst a pile of looks as though a collection of an old photography company's remains...along with a camera that was purchased...the company was "Bell and Howard" from Kirkwood Ill. If someone has their book of sittings they may find her there..cantact [contact link]

I found this photo in a flea market in Louisiana.was so surprized she didn't have a home and was in a flea market.I am seraching for the rightful owner of this young lady's portrait. It reads on back.

Stella Brunet on the campboat. The cajun families lived on these 'campoats' during the seasons for fishing, crabbing, trapping. It had everything they needed. Later, lots of these were brought to land and converted to a regular house...they can still be found today in New Orleans on the West Bank.

This is a picture of my grandfather,John David Brown Sr and his grandaughter, Thelma Johnston. I am assuming that this photo was taken in Arkansas which is where they were living when Thelma was around this age. My Grandfather died Oct 8, 1953, in Texarkana Ark and is buried in the Rocky Mound Cemetery in Fouke Arkansas. I never met him as I was not born until 1957. His family is my brick wall and the pursuit of my current research on the Brown family.
