Jane E. Hogan (1864-1949) Immigrant from Ireland to USA (b. May 1864, Hollygrove, Athleague Parish, Killeroran District, County Galway, Ireland - d. Tuesday, July 05, 1949, Jersey City, Hudson County, New Jersey, USA) Jane was born in Ireland to John Hogan (c1835-c1887) and Winifred Conboy (c1833-c1905) and her siblings include: Bridget Hogan (c1860-?) who married Michael Boyle (c1856-?); Moira Hogan (c1861-?); Michael Hogan (1863-?); Catherine (Mary) Mary Hogan (1864-1941) who came to the US and married Thomas Morrissey I (1863-1928), Patrick Hogan (1866-?); Winifred Hogan (c1870-?) who came to US and married John Healy I (c1870-bef1920); and Ann Elizabeth Hogan (c1870-?) who came to US and it is not known if she married. There were other children and more work will have to be done to find the entire set of siblings in the Irish baptismal books. Jane immigrated around 1880-1881 and married Martin (Matthew) Matthew Gelchion I (1858-1899) at Saint Paul's Roman Catholic Church at 14 Greenville Avenue in Jersey City, Hudson County, New Jersey, on January 13, 1886. Their children include: Matthew John Gelchion I (1886-1966) who married Mary E. Sullivan (1890-1967); Mary Catherine Gelchion (1888-1889) who died as infant; Elizabeth Gelchion (1890-?) who married William Henry Haney (1888-1985); Winifred (Winnie) Gelchion (1895-?) who married Joseph Furey I; Jane (Jennie) B. Gelchion (1895-?) who married Patrick (Packy) Cryan (1894-1961); and Katherine (Kitty) Gelchion II (1892-?) who married John Morgan. On September 16, 1899 Jane's husband, Matthew, died of tuberculosis after just 13 years of marriage. In 1900 Jane was living at 138 McAdoo Avenue, Jersey City as a widow with her children. In 1910 Jane Hogan was living at 64 Rose Avenue in Jersey City with George S. Rankin and Catherine Doyle. George S. Rankin's son William Thomas Rankin I (1890-1970) would later marry Katherine Agnes McLaughlin (1893-1989). Katherine McLaughlin's mother was Margaret (Maggie) Agnes Conboy (1866-1951), who was Jane Hogan's cousin. In 1920 Jane was living at 64 Rose Avenue, in Jersey City, New Jersey with her daughters Katherine and Jane, as well as her nephew, John Healy (1898-?). In 1930 Jane Hogan was living with her daughter Jane Gelchion and her husband Patrick Cryan at 24 Hackett Place in Rutherford, Bergen County, New Jersey. Jane died of a heart attack in 1949 at 381 Van Nostrand Avenue in Jersey City and she is buried in Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City with: Martin Gelchion her husband; Jane B. Gelchion, her daughter; Pat Cryan, her son-in-law; and Mary Catherine Gelchion who died as an an infant. Her obituary appeared in the Jersey Journal on Wednesday, July 06, 1949 and reads as follows: "Mrs. Jane Gelchion (nee Hogan) died Tuesday in her home at 381 Van Nostrand Avenue. Mrs. Gelchion who was born in Ireland, resided in Jersey City many years. She was a communicant or Saint Paul's Roman Catholic Church. Surviving Mrs. Gelchion are her son, Matthew Gelchion; four daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Haney, Mrs. Winifred Parks, Mrs. Catherine Morgan and Mrs. Jane Cyan; 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Saturday, July 09, at 9 a.m. from the funeral home of Richmond F Routh. Solemn mass and requiem at Saint Paul's Roma Catholic Church at 10 a.m., interment at Holy Name Cemetery."

December 1845, Blenheim, Schoharie County, New York, USA - d. 1926, probably Cobleskill, Schoharie County, New York, USA) Peter was born in 1845 to Benjamin S. Van Deusen (1826-1849) and Rebecca Thorne (1825-1906) and his siblings include: Charles Van Deusen (1844-aft1880); and Lorenzo Van Deusen (1848-1910). The family appears in the 1850 US Census with Rebecca as a widow. Charles Van Deusen is missing from the Census. Living in the home is William Thorne (1820-?), Rebecca's brother; and Sophia? X (1783-after1850), Rebecca's mother. On October 07, 1866 Peter married Catherine Burnett (1845-1926) and they had the following children: Peter B. Van Deusen (1845-1926) who married Catherine Burnett (1845-1926); Mina F. Van Deusen (1867-aft1937) who married Edwin K. Pierce (1860-aft1930); Hattie Van Deusen (1869-1907) who married Frank Everett Dyer (1863-1941); Benjamin S. Van Deusen I (1872-1937) who married Lynette Mae Curlhair (1872-1942) and who both moved to New Jersey; and Emmett Peter Van Deusen I (1878-?) who moved to Detroit and married a widow named Margaret McKenzie Fulton (c1880-1963).

January 18, 1926, Cobleskill, Schoharie County, New York, 12149, USA) On October 07, 1866 Catherine married Peter B. Van Deusen (1845-1926) and they had the following children: Peter B. Van Deusen (1845-1926) who married Catherine Burnett (1845-1926); Mina F. Van Deusen (1867-aft1937) who married Edwin K. Pierce (1860-aft1930); Hattie Van Deusen (1869-1907) who married Frank Everett Dyer (1863-1941); Benjamin S. Van Deusen I (1872-1937) who married Lynette Mae Curlhair (1872-1942) and who both moved to New Jersey; and Emmett Peter Van Deusen I (1878-?) who moved to Detroit and married a widow named Margaret McKenzie Fulton (c1880-1963).

Pierce (1860-aft1930); Hattie Van Deusen (1869-1907) who married Frank Everett Dyer (1863-1941); and Emmett Peter Van Deusen I (1878-1965) who married Margaret Fulton (c1880-?). Around 1897 Ben married Lynette Mae Curlhair (1872-1942) and they had the following children: Lillian Van Deusen (1898-c1962) who married Clarence (Ethan) Ethan Reeve I (1888-1960); Mildred Lynette Van Deusen (1901-1968) who married Reed Edison Smith (1899-1980); Benjamin Van Deusen II (1903-1972) who married Helene Elizabeth Bentley (1905-1999); and Burnette (Pete) Peter Van Deusen (1913-1993) who married Naida Muriel Freudenberg (1915-1998).
