Terry L Neely
Terry L Neely was born to John William Neal (1919 - 1985) and Susie Belle Bradford (1927 - 1986). His father was born in Alabama and his mother was born in Tennessee. He was an only child and never married. Described by The Arizona Republic as "disabled" the following update was published in The Republic on August 8, 2009: "Police ID Body Found Burning in Trash Bin": A man whose dismembered body was found in a burning garbage container has been identified as Terry Neely. Phoenix police said Neely, 46, was seen leaving an assisted-living facility in his wheelchair about 8 p.m. Sunday. His body was found Wednesday and identified through fingerprints." Angela Simpson, a 23-year-old woman from Phoenix, Arizona, was indicted by a grand jury for first-degree murder in the death of 46-year-old Terry Neely. The victim's dismembered and burned remains were found in a trash container behind a Christian fellowship church by firefighters on August 5, 2009. Simpson reportedly beat Neely for three days, stabbed him about 50 times, pulled out his teeth, hammered a 3-inch nail into his skull, strangled him with a coaxial cable, and burned his remains. Police say that Simpson believed Neely was "a snitch." She has expressed no remorse, and in a jailhouse interview, she claimed to have killed others in the past, which police have not confirmed. Simpson was later convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to the remainder of her natural life plus fourteen years. For details of the disturbing crime, see Woman, 23, is charged in disabled man's death.
