40th Wedding Anniversary
40th Wedding Anniversary
Here is the family story of this photo. William Fielder and Angelina Honts were married in Knoxville, Knox Co., IL on 18 Mar 1861. They had eight children--George Bryon (1864); Fannie Lewella (1866*); Charles Stanton (1869*); Lee Roy (1871*); Emma Celinda (1874*); Lawrence Jackson (1876); Leonard E. (1878); and Louis Herbert (1884*). On their 40th Wedding annivsary in March of 1901, they had the photo taken and a framed photo was given to each of their living (*) children. There are only two known copies left. One a copy owned by the descendants of Ruth (Fielder) Essex (daughter of Charles Stanton Fielder), and the other an orginial given by Robert Fielder (grandson of Lee Roy Fielder), given upon his death to descendants of his cousin Burness Fielder.
The orginial of the copy owned by Ruth (Fielder) Essex, was borrowed by a Emma Celinda (Fielder) Fitton, descandant and never returned only the copy, they said they wanted to make (shame on some relatives. This hurt Aunt Ruth deeply.)

This photo was one of the first in an album, left by Angelina Honts. It was not titled as some in the album were. It is possible that it is a photo of Daniel Honts and Mary "Polly Ann" Goode, parents of many of the titled photos in the album.
If you know, who these persons are please contact me. If it is them, it would have been taken in either Brown or Morgan Counties in IN or in Warren or Knox Counties in IL.

Anyone knowing anything is incouraged to e-mail with the information.

Honts Family Photos ?
These photos were in an album given to Ruth Essex, from her father Charles Stanton Fielder. It was given to him, by his mother Angelina (Honts) Fielder. It seems to be her personal family album. Rachel Fielder, was Charles' aunt. Minnie Belle Fieler was his cousin and Minnie Belle Stone was Minnie's daughter. The Singleton Family, was Angelina's twin sister Alvira's family with Joseph Robert Singleton. Amos Arnold Singleton and wife was Angelina's other sister and Amos was Joseph's brother. Thomas South and wife was Angelina's sister Minerva Catherine. And Lige South and wife was Elijah Johnson South (Thomas' first cousin) and Angelina's sister Nancy Eveline. All the other photos were not identified. They are in the order they were in the album.
If anyone can idenitify them please do so.
