My mom's side of the family is Swedish (and still lives in Sweden) and she instilled in me lots of Swedish heritage and traditions which has made me who I am today. My dad's side of the family is German and Irish and the most likely the side of the family I get all my freckles from. Family is so important, and welcome everyone to discover more about them, their history, and share about their loved ones who make up the history of who we are!

I want to build a place where my son can meet his great-grandparents. My grandmother Marian Joyce (Benning) Kroetch always wanted to meet her great-grandchildren, but she died just a handful of years before my son's birth.
So while she didn't have the opportunity to meet him, at least he will be able to know her.

My father's side is full blood Sicilian and my mother's side is a combination of Welsh, Scottish, German and a few other European cultures. One of my more colorful (ahem black sheep) family members came over on the Mayflower. He was among the first to be hanged in the New World for a criminal offense he made while onboard the ship.

Both grandparents also helped raise their first grandchild of their oldest daughter that later became an entrepreneur of owning several businesses such as in daycare, vending machines, home decorations, she taught herself the real estate business of flipping houses investing her inheritance that did very well. The other children went on to work in various jobs in the hospitality field and government jobs. His wife grained in the first grandchild how important their family life heritage is and kept the family close till she later died after becoming sick with health issues like her husband. Both lived a full life of traveling, close friends, held get together at their home and at their lounge. Their customers weren't just customers they were like family since had regulars that would come to the lounge therefore developing long lasting friendships. During the holidays they had people at their lounge that didn't have families would hold catering parties to feed all. Their lounge was known for its parties, karaoke, celebrating birthdays, holidays, some met there where some later married, meeting up with your friends and family for gatherings, held golf and dart tournaments, for a short time they had a pool table and a dance room
( that they later took out for more seating ). It was known to be a wild and fun atmosphere. It was a good time.
