Swann Sisters
The three daughters of Gay Zetta Lester Swann and Ward T. Swann. All grew up in Chariton County. Hazel and Delma spent their adult lives in Kansas City, Mo. and Mabel married Martin Triplett, and they remained in Triplett, Mo. the remainder of their lives. Martin and Mabel are my paternal grandparents.

John Triplett & Grandson Edwin Triplett
John Triplett with his grandson Edwin. This was probably taken in Triplett, Mo. John's father, J.E.M. Triplett was the founder of Triplett, Mo. John was my ggrandfather. Edwin is still living in Kansas City, Mo.


Ward T. and Gay Zetta Lester Swann
These were my paternal ggrandparents. Ward came from Corydon, Indiana to take up farming in Triplett, Mo. when he was 18 yrs. of age. He married Gay Zetta Lester there and they had 3 daughters, Hazel, Delma, and Mabel, my grandmother. Ward was blind from his middle years on. He and Gay Zetta moved to Kansas City, Mo. in 1940. Gay Zetta passed away in 1947 and Hazel and Delma lived with him the remainder of his life. He lived to be 92.

Martin & Mabel Triplett
These are my paternal grandparents. They lived in Triplett, Mo. most of their lives. The town of Triplett was named for my gggrandfather, J.E.M. Triplett.

Anna Davidson Bryant-wife of James Bryant. He was a miner in Joplin, Mo. but the rest of the family, it seems, lived in Snyder (Dean Lake) Mo.
