Mary T. (Woodham) Maund & WJ Dossett
William James Dossett (aka "Dawsitt") married a widow named Mary T. Woodham Maund Dossett. WJ became stepfather to her five children. They had three children of their own, John Thomas, James Elbert, and Martha Jane Dossett. Several of their children died during their childhood years due to an epidemic of the measles in their small town in Dale County, Alabama.

Her children (in the front)are John Thomas Dossett (the baby,probably), Lucinda Dossett (center), and James Elbert Dossett (on the right on father's knee). Nellie Maund is standing to the left and her brothers (names unknown) are standing behind their mother and stepfather. The baby may be their daughter Martha Jane Dossett and not John Thomas. John Thomas Dossett may have been born a year and a half after this family photo was taken.
