"I'LL MISS YOU, BUT I'M NOT LETTING YOU GO!" Your Great Granddaughter Connie. Juanita Kortman was born Juanita Evans on April 1, 1904 in Knoxville, Tennessee. Father was George Washington Evans. She was born into a family of 10 children. Greatgrandmother to 15 children born to Anita L. Thomas and Jerry D. Thomas Sr. We called her Grandma. She had 2 daughters, Nora Lee and Annie Louise Tanner. Nora Lee died at a young age of 2 when she choked on a peanut.
