Juanita Kortman was born Juanita Evans on April 1, 1904 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Father was George Washington Evans.
She was born into a family of 10 children.
Greatgrandmother to 15 children born to Anita L. Thomas and Jerry D. Thomas Sr.
We called her Grandma.
She had 2 daughters, Nora Lee and Annie Louise Tanner. Nora Lee died at a young age of 2 when she choked on a peanut.
