Dr. John William Morgan, Sr.
John was born June 3, 1872 in Obion Co., Tennessee. He and Mary Lou Cook (1876-1959) were married on February 3, 1900 in Obion Co., Tennessee. They were the parents of 12 children. John was a medical doctor in Tennessee and Georgia. John died October 14, 1945 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

This photograph was taken on the bridge joining Suwannee and Lafayette Counties at Branford. The bridge has recently been torn down and replaced by a huge expanse of concrete.

The two children are the grandchildren of Samuel T. Stalvey, Sr. (1875-1946) and his wife, Essie P. Wall Stalvey (1882-1962), who owned and operated the Stalvey Hotel from 1926 until 1951.
