Johanthan Courter Bio: 1827 Yates Co., New York. Son of David & Fanny/Francis Sutton Courter of N.Y. Resided in Cattaragus, N.Y. Then Ionia, MI where he married in 1848 Sarah A. Barton. Two Sons: David F. John S. Courter. Military: Co. F 10th Michigan. Assessor of his school district. Arcadia Twp. M. Esther & had 10 children.

This is supposed to be a photo of my great grand mother, Elizabeth Jane Sutton,reportedly born in SC about 1850
In 1882 in Duval County Florida she married Noel Roberts.
She supposedly lived in Quitman , Georgia and Madison, Florida.
Also family stories say she was part Cherokee. This fact has never been proven. Anyone who might recognize this person or have an ancestor that may resemble her, please contact me.
