I want to build a place where my son can meet his great-grandparents. My grandmother Marian Joyce (Benning) Kroetch always wanted to meet her great-grandchildren, but she died just a handful of years before my son's birth.
So while she didn't have the opportunity to meet him, at least he will be able to know her.

My father's side is full blood Sicilian and my mother's side is a combination of Welsh, Scottish, German and a few other European cultures. One of my more colorful (ahem black sheep) family members came over on the Mayflower. He was among the first to be hanged in the New World for a criminal offense he made while onboard the ship.

So, I was born in 1965, and she was my grandma, I should go their for the weekends some times, but when I was with her, one day, and she was very sick, and she had a heart attack right in front of me, and I was only 6 yrs old, and I went to her funeral, and said my last goodbyes, and I still miss and love her till this day. She whould even spoil gifts and candy, snack and drinks, and I loved her with all my heart, and now she not here anymore.

Clara Afton's parents were James and Agnes (Songer) Bridge. She married George Afton and they had Mary, Anna, Olive, Edith, Leroy and Phillip.
According to the 1900 Federal census, Clara F. Afton was 25 and living with her husband George, age 31, and daughter Mary A., age 9, in Rose PA. Also in the household was George's father, Martin J Afton, age 79, who was born in Germany.
Clara and George were married in 1898 and both had been born in PA. They could read and write and spoke English. George was a farmer and owned his home/farm.
In the 1920 Federal census, George and Clara were stilling living on the farm in Rose. Also in the household were 9 children ranging from age 2 - 20: Mary, Anna, James, John, George, Ambrose, Philip, Edith, and Olive.
