As a child of immigrants, Nick believed in creating a fair playing field and promoting human potential. He was extremely close to his sisters all his life.
On Veterans Day I found a photo of dad’s 4th Platoon Co.D 18th Bn from Camp Wheeler GA. 1944. I watched a PBS show which detailed the route of the 4th Armored Div in Europe and dad’s 5th Division seemed similar, extending from the Siegfried Line in Germany to the Hurtgen Forest of Belgium and back to liberate the German camps in Spring 1945. What sacrifices were made for our freedoms and to continue the democratic way of life. After the 2024 election I am concerned with preserving same and promoting dad’s legacy in upholding the dignity and potential of each individual.

Nicholas Vistica of San Mateo, San Mateo County, California was born on August 20, 1895, and died at age 84 years old in February 1980.
Samuel Vistica of Westwood, Bergen County, NJ was born on August 18, 1921, and died at age 85 years old on June 10, 2007.
