Scott was born in the territory of Alaska to John and Rita Woods. His father was in the Air Force, so the family moved frequently. They did settle in Colorado Springs where Scott graduated from Palmer High School. There he participated in an Outward Bound program which sparked his lifelong love of the outdoors. Hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, kayaking, rafting and camping were his favorite activities. Scott attended the University of Colorado, Boulder, where he earned a degree in German Literature and Language. Later, he attended the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, where he earned a degree in Electrical Engineering. Scott spent most of his career working for Hewlett Packard, designing operating software for cameras. He then designed operating software for security cameras at Schneider Electric (Pellco) where he designed operating software for security cameras.

Therma E (Glass) Stainbrook of Parkston, Hutchinson County, SD was born on March 16, 1903, and died at age 98 years old on November 1, 2001 at Farm near Milltown, Hutchinson County, SD. Therma Stainbrook was buried at Milltown Cemetery in Milltown, near Parkston.

Fern Burkholder is buried in the Milltown Cemetery, Hutchinson County, South Dakota, Memorial Number 162525514.

Art Arthur Bintliff of Mount Vernon, Skagit County, WA was born on May 16, 1925 at Mitchell, Davison County, SD, USA in Mitchell, Davison County, South Dakota United States, and died at age 85 years old on May 10, 2011.
