2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!

Dorothy is my Momma...technically she is my Grandmother; However, she raised me & will always be Momma to me :)
Her mother was born a Butler. Dorothy was raised in Swartz, La & had a couple brothers even though I can't remember their names. She married Willis Malachi Redding & they had 3 children: Montie Gayle, Richie Brian, & Angela Suzanne. They raised all 3 children there on the farm in Swartz. In 1978, Dorothy moved to Girard, La & married Hubert Arlond Allen & together they raised Angela's first born child, ME, Jamie Lee! :) In 1993, Dorothy & Hubert moved to Hebert, LA where they still live.
Dorothy retired after nursing 30+ years @ Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Rayville, LA. Then months later returned to nursing briefly at Rayville Rehabilitation. She then nursed at West Monroe Guest House and then after several more years of nursing at Ridgecrest Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in West Monroe, La, Mom suffered a mild stroke and was forced to retire again.
Mom has spent the past several years sitting on the lake front watching Daddy fish & trying to keep him in line! HA! :)
