I am the great grandaughter of Fred Sivertsen (Severson in America) and Lena Lien(Snedkerlien in Norway) I am the great grandaughter of Simon Gordon (Nørstegaard) and Josephine Johnson. My Great Grandparents came from Guisko,Sonmore, Norway and from Dovre, Gudbrandsdalen, Oppland, Norway. I am searching for living relatives that are still in Norway. I know that the majority of my relatives are on the Sivertsen side. There are 2 Nørstegaards that remained in Norway.

Marion's Visit with Santa
My mother's first visit with Santa all wrapped up for warmth along with her fur muff

Santa Claus Label, 1868
A label featuring Santa Claus for Sugar Plums by the U.S. Confection Company, New York, in 1868.
The label was entered into the Clerk's Office in the district of Southern New York. It's an interesting use of Santa for advertising in the mid 1800's. The image is familiar but has changed somewhat since then!

White Christmas - Rosemary Clooney, Danny Kaye, Bing Crosby
Rosemary Clooney starred alongside Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye and Vera-Ellen in White Christmas in 1954. It was the first film to be shot in Paramount's VistaVision process with color by Technicolor. The film boasted more than 15 songs.
Lucky for Danny Kaye, Donald O'Connor became sick and was unable to shoot the film after Fred Astaire declined the project.
Even though Vera-Ellen's character Ellen played the younger sister to Betty (Rosie Clooney), Rosemary Clooney was 7 years younger.
The film took in $12 million dollars in 1954. Tickets were approximately 25¢ for children under 12 and 50¢ for over 12 & adults.

Is it me, or does the oldest boy have more interesting presents than his sister? He has a whole train set with buildings - she has a . . . book??
