I was born in Shreveport, LA on May 30, 1963, to Shirley Taylor Martin and Eugene Harvey Martin.
Both sets of grandparents were long-term residents of Shreveport.
I had 2 sisters, Natalie Lynn Martin Natal & Heather Cherie Martin Crain - both were younger than me.

My mom's side of the family is Swedish (and still lives in Sweden) and she instilled in me lots of Swedish heritage and traditions which has made me who I am today. My dad's side of the family is German and Irish and the most likely the side of the family I get all my freckles from. Family is so important, and welcome everyone to discover more about them, their history, and share about their loved ones who make up the history of who we are!

Porter Alan Taylor of 2916 West College St., in Shreveport, Caddo Parish County, Louisiana United States was born on August 12, 1907 at Home in Waxia to Basil Crowe Taylor and Laura McDaniel Taylor. He married Mava Kidder Taylor, and had a child Shirley Ann Taylor Martin. Porter Taylor died at age 57 years old in September 1964 at P &S Hospital in Shreveport, LA County, and was buried on September 24, 1964 at Centuries Memorial Cemetery in Shreveport, Caddo Parish County.
