Triston was born in Germany while his parents were stationed there in the US military. His parents married in February, and Triston was born in June of the same year.
In 1997, the family moved to El Paso Texas. While living in El Paso, his father Roger was deployed to Saudi Arabia in 1999 from March through August - and then his mother Lynn was deployed from March - September 2000. Triston's parents separated in December 2000 and reconciled in January 2001.
Lynn, who was pregnant at the time, was assigned to teach ROTC at a Minnesota university beginning on June 1st 2001. Before she could leave for her assignment, she was murdered on May 24. She was 30 years old and 6 months pregnant.
Triston's father, Roger, was convicted on four counts of criminal solicitation of capital murder in the death of Triston's mother, Lynn, on May 24th 2001. Roger was sentenced to life imprisonment.
Triston was five years old at the time of his father's conviction.

Triston Noble Reister
