Russell D. Carpenter family & friends
Photo was purchased on e-bay, but it is not my Carpenter family. Seller said she purchased it at an auction with other items from NY, WI, MN, and IL. Inscription on back says, "Childen's Day at the Ad Club 3/25/14. Mr. & Mrs. Russell D. Carpenter, their family and ours. They now have seven children. Mr. Carpener is a Merchandise manager of our largest department store. The feather in Babe's hat got between me and the camera."
Who is the husband of "Babe" and what is their surname? What are the names of their children and the Carpenter children? What department store is referred to and where was it? Is this your family? Please contact me if you have any further information.

Seth STANLEY
Photo has been cropped. Original is about 2 3/8 x 4". It shows head and shoulders of a man in his late 40s or early 50s with a graying trimmed beard and white hair. He is wearing a suit and an old-fashioned tie. Photo is with others, some of which are marked 1870s and 1880s. On the back it says, "Gillmore Brothers, Photographers, Geneva, NY, Negatives preserved."
This photo and numerous others were found in my grandmothers effects. She shared many photos but not these. We suspect they are from an album probably rescued by an uncle who pre-deceased Grandma. Most of the photos are unidentified, but probably all related. One other that does have a name is Mrs. Jane Frazer. These are not names in my family. Most of the photos were taken in Rochester and Geneva, NY, St. Louis, MO, and Beaver Dam and Waukesha, WI.

Mrs. Jane Fraser
The photo is about 2 3/8 X 4. On the reverse is printed "Dunshee Bros., Artists, No. 14 State Street, Rochester, NY, Copies of same at any time". The photo shows the head and shoulders of an elderly Causacian-looking woman, whose hair is completely covered by a white bonnet that ties under the chin. It was with other photos from the 1870s and 1880s, but I am not able to ascertain the period accurately. This is probably from an album rescued by a relative. We have not found that name in my family.
The photo and a number of others were found with an album in my grandmother's effects. She was generous with family photos, but never showed these to us. Therefore we suspect they are not our family photos, but probably an album rescued from somewhere by an uncle who predeceased Grandma. I have no idea who the subject is and I have not found this name in our family so far. There are numerous other photos, mostly unidentified, that are probably related. One that is identified is of a man named Seth Stanley, taken in Geneva, NY. Other photos were taken in St. Louis, MO and Beaver Dam and Waukesha, WI.

Unknown man related to Petty
Number 1 of an album of people related to the PETTY FAMILY OF Perry CO., OH. He could be a son of Josiah and Harriet COLEMAN PETTY but I am not sure.
