Another Cranston East High School picture including David.
David was standing next to Mr. Paul Martin, who was actually my social studies teacher in my junior year. 😊 Don't know what this club picture this is of David, but he was involved in several school clubs.

I want to build a place where my son can meet his great-grandparents. My grandmother Marian Joyce (Benning) Kroetch always wanted to meet her great-grandchildren, but she died just a handful of years before my son's birth.
So while she didn't have the opportunity to meet him, at least he will be able to know her.

My father's side is full blood Sicilian and my mother's side is a combination of Welsh, Scottish, German and a few other European cultures. One of my more colorful (ahem black sheep) family members came over on the Mayflower. He was among the first to be hanged in the New World for a criminal offense he made while onboard the ship.

David will always be lovingly remembered. He attended Dutemple Elementary School in Cranston, Rhode Island, Bain Junior High School, and graduated with high honors from Cranston East High School in 1982. He then attended George Washington University from August, 1982 to about 1986. He was a member of SAE fraternity while at George Washington University. David was a Born Again Christian. He was a very sincere person, who stood strongly for what he believed in, and he valued education in all its forms. He was so much fun, and had a great sense of humor, and a very contagious laugh. While at GWU, he majored in Political Science, with the hope that some day, he would enter the political arena, in order to help the less fortunate of society, who so often get over-looked. David left me with many fond memories from a long ago time of 40 years, and he will always remain in my heart. I think about him very often, as I'm sure many others do as well. David's parents, Mary (Andrade) Cannistraci, and Joseph Cannistraci, Sr. are both still alive, and still reside in Cranston, Rhode Island, although not at the same residence. His siblings are: Joseph Cannistraci, Jr., Gina Cannistraci-Maloney, Eric Cannistraci, and Kristin Cannistraci-Wotherspoon; all currently living in Rhode Island.
