Roy Green
I’ve “rescued” an old photograph of Roy GREEN which was taken at the Kerr Studio in Urbana, OH. The photograph was taken sometime in the 1880’s with Roy appearing to be about 4 years old at the time it was taken. I’m hoping to locate someone from this GREEN Family so that the photograph can be returned to the care of family. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me.
Thanks,
Shelley

Louisa Reeves
I've "rescued" two old photographs of Louise REEVES b. 1893 which were both taken at the Pratt Studio in Aurora, IL in the 1890's. Louise is just an infant when the first photograph was taken and appears to be about 3 years old in the second photograph. A third photograph taken at the same studio in the 1890’s appears to have the name “Marjorie” written on the back, so I’m thinking this may be Louise’s older sister. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding Louise and her family:
Louisa REEVES was b. 8 May 1893 in Aurora, IL and her sister Marjorie REEVES was b. 24 Aug 1890 in Illinois, both to parents William Titsworth REEVES (b. 29 Oct 1856 in Aurora, IL-d. 1938) and Theodosa or Theodosia Gould RUGGLES (b. 8 Feb 1856 in Essex, NY or Boston, MA-d. 13 Sept 1946 in Oshkosh, WI). The two girls had three siblings including, Helen; Allan Gould; and George REEVES all born between 1884 and 1895 in Aurora, IL. The youngest George died in the same year that he was born, 1895. Louisa died 13 Aug 1901 and is buried in the Spring Lake Cemetery in Aurora, IL.
It doesn’t appear that Louisa ever married. Marjorie married Lawrence EKVALL (b. 1890) and together they had three children including, Allan Thomas; and Dorothy EKVALL along with one other. Marjorie died in May 1976 in Highland, IN. It appears that there was another sibling, a brother Charles C. REEVES b. 1919 in Ohio and died 2013 in Florida. Charles and his wife had two daughters identified in obits as, Carol HESS of Clearwater, FL and Jeanine REEVES of Lafayette, CO.
Census records provide the following details:
1900 census of Aurora, IL:
Dr. W. T. REEVES, age 44, born Oct 1855, married 19 years, born IL, parents born NJ, a Dentist
Theo G. REEVES, wife, age 44, born Feb 1856, married 19 years, 5 children/4 living, born NY, parents born VT/NY
Helen REEVES, dau, age 15, born Sept 1884, born IL, at School
Allen G. REEVES, son, age 12, born May 1888, born IL, at School
Marjorie REEVES, dau, age 9, born Aug 1890, born IL, at School
Louisa REEVES, dau, age 7, born May 1893, born IL, at School
Louisa G. RUGGLES, mother-in-law, age 73, born Feb 1827, a widow, 1 child/1 living, born NY, parents born NY
I am hoping to locate someone from this family so that these precious old photographs can be returned to the care of family. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me.

Shelley

Postcard showing full-length portrait of a woman, standing, facing front, wearing hat and short skirt. The photo is labelled "Butler Cafe Revue", Seattle, and "Mushet" - perhaps her stage name?
UPDATE: Turns out Robert Mushet was a popular photographer in the early 1900s.

Douglas Fairbanks and Charlie Chaplin Wall Street New York 1918
Wall Street, New York City, 1918
In this photo, Douglas Fairbanks raises a vertical Charlie Chaplin in the air, at the foot of the old Sub-Treasury building (now Federal Hall National Memorial), during a rally to promote Liberty bonds. Liberty bonds were sold to help support the United States World War I effort.
A year before this in 1917, Fairbanks and Mary Pickford joined Charlie Chaplin in selling war bonds by train across the United States. At the time, Fairbanks and Chaplin were the highest paid movie stars in Hollywood.
Douglas Fairbanks, nicknamed "The King of Hollywood", was born on May 23, 1883 and died on December 12, 1939.
