2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!

An 1888 photo of Kitch Hawk, also known as Jake the Bracelet Maker. He is wearing a Chilkat blanket. (Isn't it beautiful?)

I am assuming that because he is wearing a Chilkat blanket, he is a Chilkat Native American. The Chilkats are an active tribe today in Alaska in Klukwan (southern Alaska).

And I'm assuming because he was known as Jake the Bracelet Maker, he was a jewelry maker.
