A silver bowl engraved “To Herman Goldman from Eugene Merz, 1929.”
A silver bowl engraved “To Herman Goldman from Eugene Merz, 1929.”
I have recently acquired the item in the picture engraved and trying to establish a link between Herman Goldman and Eugene Merz. The engraving is from 1929 and the silver bowl was given as a gift so they could have been friends. In 1929 Mr. Goldman was 49 years old and Mr. Merz was about 59/60 years old, assuming he’s the Eugene Merz from the Heller Merz Chemical company. The bowl was purchased at an estate sale online auction from Sarasota, FL. Ed Kalin.
Any additional information would be appreciated.
Thank you.

For fifty years I have been a Document Examiner and that is how I earn my living. For over 50 years I have also been a publicist for actors, singers, writers, composers, artists, comedians, and many progressive non-profit organizations. I am a Librettist-Composer of a Broadway musical called, "Nellie Bly" and I am in the process of making small changes to it. In addition, I have written over 100 songs that would be considered "popular music" in the genre of THE AMERICAN SONGBOOK.
My family consists of four branches. The Norwegians and The Italians and the Norwegian-Americans and the Italian Americans.
