2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!

George Frederick Kneller was born on August 30, 1908 in ldham, Lancashire, England. He is the son of John William Kneller (1886-1929) and Margaret Ann Truslove (1886-1973). He had siblings Leonard (1910-1964), Bernard (1911-1964), and John William Kneller (1916-2009).
Dr. Kneller was a tour organizer of tours to Europe from approximately 1954 to 1959, but he may have started his tours before then. The tour was known as the Kneller Tour. The itinerary was very extensive and covered about 14 countries with stays in about 22 first class hotels.
In 1957 I (Svend Hartmann) was invited to join Dr. Kneller in London for his trip back to UCLA where I assisted with typing the manuscript to his book: the Philosophy of Education. About 30 years later I had the pleasure of visiting Dr. Kneller with my wife and three children at his beautiful house on 372 Hilgard Avenue near the UCLA campus.
