Joseph Donaghy
Joseph Donaghy
Joseph Donaghy portrait b. dec 29 Antrim Ireland. He and his wife Nancy Donaghy emigrated from Antrim Ireland about 1835 and settled in Butler County Pa. They owned and operated the Old Stone House, stage coach stop and Inn, near Slippery Rock, Pa. It was the only stop between Allegheny County and Erie and was a pivotal abode. The Donaghy family had 12 children and often gave up their beds when they had guest and the entire family slept in tow upstairs rooms. The Old Stone House is now a historical place and is preserved and maintained by Slippery Rock University. They were a Christian family and bibles were throughout the home. The Donaghy family Bible was greatly detailed with births, deaths and marraiges. The information has been added to Ancestry.com.

A photo of Jane Donaghy b. 12 Jan abt 1830: Jane Donaghy is the daughter of Joseph and Nancy Donaghy They were the immigrants who came to USA from Antrim Ireland about 1835. They lived in Washington, Iowa and Pennsylvania. However...they did own and operate THE OLD STONE HOUSE, stage coach stop and Inn, in Butler County Pa.
It was the only stop between Erie and Allegheny County. I am not sure as to the relevance of Janes two middle names. They are however accurate as they have been taken from the Donaghy family Bible that is preserved at the Old Stone House, preservation through Slippery Rock Universtiy, PA.

Jacob Faller
Jacob Faller, Caller, Taller, Oaller, Civil War discharge document, PA: This document was in at a historical site. TO who it may concern- Pennsylvania Veteran -VOLUNTEER paid July 1868 it says on upper side. This is the discharge letter stating that Jacob Faller/ Caller, Taller, was born in Butler County Pa and is 29 years old. Year is 1865
The Caligraphy is hard to decipher as the T and F do not match exactly the first letter of last name. I am sure a family relative would be able to discern. This document is at the OLD STONE HOUSE, in Butler County PA, as an area articfact. It does not pertain to those who owned the Old Stone House stagecoach Inn, but that it represents that time period.
