I'm a Founder of AncientFaces and support the community answering questions & helping members make connections to the past (thus my official title of Founder & Content and Community Support ). For me, it's been a labor of love for over 20 years. I truly believe with all of my heart that everyone should be remembered for generations to come.
I am 2nd generation San Jose and have seen a lot of changes in the area while growing up. We used to be known as the "Valley of Heart's Delight" (because the Valley was covered with orchards and there were many canneries to process the food grown here, which shipped all over the US) - now we have adopted the nickname "Capital of Silicon Valley" and Apple, Ebay, Adobe, Netflix, Facebook, and many more tech companies are within a few miles of my current home in San Jose (including AncientFaces). From a small town of 25,000, we have grown to 1 million plus. And when you add in all of the communities surrounding us (for instance, Saratoga, where I attended high school, living a block from our previous Mayor), we are truly one of the big cities in the US. I am so very proud of my hometown. For more information see Kathy - Founder & Content and Community Director

Earon Michelle Harper was born to Judith A Hizer and Harold Harper (1937-2020), and she had a brother Anthony L Harper (1957-1978). Public records show that she may have lived in Louisville Kentucky her entire life.
Earon had children Eric, Ebony, Erica and Ebreona and one grandson, Eysayiah. After Earon's death, her parents, Harold and Judith Harper, raised her children Erica and Ebreona. Her grandson, Eysayiah, also spent a lot of time at their home.
On May 18, 2006, Earon and her 2 year old daughter were shot multiple times when someone broke into their home. Earon died from her wounds but 2 yr old Erica survived, but lost vision in her right eye. See A grown-up Erica Hughes talks with WDRB 10 years after she was shot in the head at 2-years-old to read a 2016 interview with daughter Erica.
Two men were arrested for the shootings and each blamed the other. See Arrests made in murder of Earon Harper and shooting of her young daughter to read a 2007 article about the arrests.
In 2009, James Quisenberry was convicted and will be eligible for parole after 20 years. He was found guilty of 2nd degree manslaughter and facilitation to attempted murder. Kenneth Williams was convicted of murder and attempted murder and the jury recommended life without parole.
Earon's mother has compassion for the murders. See Mother of murdered woman has compassion for men who killed her daughter.

About me:I haven't shared any details about myself.

Jocelyn Linette Payne was born in February of 1968 in Detroit, Michigan. She had three sisters and one half-brother.
Tragically, at the age of 27, Jocelyn was fatally shot and stabbed in her Harrison Township apartment at the Village Green Apartments on Jefferson. The motive behind her murder was apparently a dispute over money. Jocelyn's roommate, Tanika Lynch, claimed that Payne owed her money for a counterfeit Louis Vuitton purse, amounting to $600. At the time of the incident, Tanika was only 16 years old. She was convicted of the murder and sentenced to 16 to 60 years in prison for second-degree murder and armed robbery.
For more details about the event, an article was published in the Detroit Free Press in 1995, which can be found at Girls accused of killing over money.
Jocelyn left behind three sisters and a young 11-year-old daughter. It was her daughter who discovered her lifeless body after returning home from school.
Regarding Tanika Lynch's appeal for parole, the family fought against it. Further information about this appeal can be read in an article at Smith fights prison releases.
Tanika also left a comment on AncientFaces in 2015, which can be seen at Memory about Jocelyn Payne.

Chelsea Brooke Estrada's father was Steve Estrada and her mother was Julia Rocha. She was born in Travis county, Texas.

Nicholas J. Rod was born in Philadelphia to Anthony P Rod Sr., aka "Tony" (1960-2009) and Karen Rod. After Tony Sr. died in 2009, Karen remarried so Nicholas had a stepfather, Dennis Stasen. He also had two brothers Tony Rod Jr. and Joey Rod.
Nicholas passed away suddenly when he was 26 years old on March 6th, 2011. At the time of his passing he was engaged to Jessica Ford. At the end of an episode of the television show "Parking Wars", you will see "in memory of Nicholas Rod". He was working for the Philadelphia Parking Authority at the time of his death but his death wasn't related to his employment.
See Nicholas J Rod: Obituary for Nicholas' obituary which appeared in the Philadelphia Inquirer. In his obituary, his family asked that "In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to the Mickey Gallagher Foundation, 229 Wayne Ave. Springfield, PA 19064." For more information about the Mickey Gallagher Foundation see The Mickey Gallagher Foundation
This is not the first death that has plagued "Parking Wars". See Another "Parking Wars" death and an earlier article: Philadelphia Parking Authority employee run over.

Featured on the ID channel's "And Justice for All", Baldomero Fernandez was convicted of killing his neighbor. See Murderer for more details. The incident was also featured on "Fear Thy Neighbor". See Home's Where the Hearse Is, James Escoto and Baldomero Fernandez.
Baldomero Fernandez's parents were Baldomero Fernandez Suarez (born in Spain in 1897 and died in Cuba) and Isabel Arenas Albanes, (1896-1983) born in Cuba died in Miami FL.
Baldomero married Maria Ramon (a citizen of the US) on June 30 1956 in Miami FL. Having lived continuously in the US since May, 1948, he applied for naturalization. On his naturalization application, he stated that he was of medium complexion, was 5 ft 8 in tall, and had brown eyes and black hair.
He later married Lourdes and they divorced in July, 1991, in Miami-Dade, Florida. See what seems to be a balanced article about Baldomero, his plea bargain, his background and about the neighbor that he killed, James Escoto, at Baldomero Fernandez Trial.
