She had siblings William Henry Ebbels, Thomas Ebbels, Edward Philpot Ebbels, James Spring Ebbels, Frederick Ebbels, and Richard Alfred Ebbels. She married Thomas Maxwell in 1873, and had children Thomas Maxwell, William Maxwell, William John Maxwell, Thomas Edward Maxwell, Elizabeth Maxwell, Jessie Maxwell, Elsie Ann Maxwell, and Arthur Maxwell. Elizabeth Maxwell died at age 48 years old on November 7, 1899 in Ballarat, City of Ballarat County, VIC.
