Phillip C. Szurgot
Phillip Carl Szurgot of Burleson, Johnson County, Texas was born on July 25, 1949 in Fort Worth, Tarrant County to Benjamin Szurgot and Maxine (Steelman) Szurgot. He had siblings Marsha Starkey, Pamela Dee Owen, and Michael Benjamin Szurgot. He married Sharon Lynn Szurgot on July 6, 1968 in Fort Worth County, TX and they later divorced in 1994 in Burleson, Johnson County. He had children Kari Lynn Szurgot, Kelly (Szurgot) Llamas, Phillip 'Jason' Szurgot, Stephanie (Szurgot) Tatum, and Matthew Szurgot. Phillip Szurgot died at age 59 years old on March 2, 2009 at Nanny's (Maxine Szurgot) house 769 N.W. Wood Ct., in Burleson, Tarrant County, and was buried at Burleson Memorial Cemetery 490 Memorial Plaza, in Burleson, Johnson County.

I want to build a place where my son can meet his great-grandparents. My grandmother Marian Joyce (Benning) Kroetch always wanted to meet her great-grandchildren, but she died just a handful of years before my son's birth. My father's side is full blood Sicilian and my mother's side is a combination of Welsh, Scottish, German and a few other European cultures. One of my more colorful (ahem black sheep) family members came over on the Mayflower. He was among the first to be hanged in the New World for a criminal offense he made while onboard the ship.
