Morley S. Oates VFW Post 701 National Champ Band: Band sponsored by Oates VFW for many years in Lansing, Mi. I played from 62-80. Several times National Band of the VFW for many national conventions . This one was in 1963 in Seattle, Wa. We had surplus WWII officer's uniforms.
Date & Place: at World's Fair Grounds, in Seattle, King County, Washington United States

There was a VFW band from
Lansing at Pionte du Hoc on the 8 th of June 2014. There were 2 busses of them. They spent a week there, playing almost every day, they said. All ages, men & women, some high school kids. Trip of a lifetime.
