These are my maternal grandparents on their wedding day, Oct. 12, 1938 in New Bedford,Mass.

This photo was found in the album of Mary Silva Caren. This picture was taken in Boston, MA probably before 1890.

This photo is one of many found in the worn red velvet album of my Great Grandmother, Mary Silva Caren. It is one of the few that is identified. I have included it because the picture of his wife is only identified as Mrs. Nunes and I would like to identify her by name. Most of the photos are not identified. Mary was born in 1856 and came to the US in 1885 (according to the 1900 Census) and worked as a cook or servant in the Providence, RI area (according to family history) before she married. Some of the photos were taken in Bristo Co., MA and some in Providence, RI. I believe they were taken before 1890, at which time Mary married John Caren (Carn in the 1900 Census) and moved west to California. There are 7 small tin-types included in the album that were probably taken much earlier, perhaps in the Azores where Mary is originally from.

This photo was discovered in the attic of William and Olivia Mello's home in Cambridge Massachusetts. The folks in the photo are assumed to be friends

It is unknown wheather the folks in the photograph are related to the Mello Family. No surviving family members were able to identify anyone in the photograph. It is currently assumed that they are not related, but were close friends of William and Olivia Mello of Cambridge Massachusetts.

My grandmother Maria Jacinta Silveira is seated. She came from Sao Joao Azores. Her brother John J Silveira is standing behind her and Marias husband Albert on right.Maid of honor is Maria Machado.Marys parents were John and Mary Jacinta Silveira and Alberts parents were John J and Mary (Soares) Silveira from Pico.

I am on the left, youngest daughter and child of sevenchildren of Albert H. Silveira and Emma Guerette(Garrette). I was working the train from Berlin to Frankfurt when I was in the Army. My job was to make sure no one got on or off the train while traveling through East Germany.This was a temporary job which was special duty and you got paid extra for doing it.

This is my mothers father. My grandfathers name was Fortunat Pierre Guerette. His father was ALexandre Guerette and mother Martine Miville. He went by Peter Garrette later on in life. He married Anna Mae Letourneau in Haverhill Mass in 1907, but later on lived in Salem Mass.He met her in a shoe factory, and he later did work as a mason and a millright.He was born in St Anne de la Pocatiere Canada.He was rumored to be married before, but I am not positive.

This is a picture of my uncle Adelard. His father was (Adelard?) Fortunat Pierre Guerette (Garrette. His mother was Anna Mae (Letourneau)Garrette.Uncle Ad married Dorothy Grant in GLoucester Mass, but they lived in Salem Mass later on.

This is a picture of my husband and me at Saint Ann's Church in GLoucester, Massachusetts.I am Thea Silveira the 7th and youngest child of Emma Garrette and Albert H. Silveira. My husband is Ronald E. Davis son of Melvin E. Davis and Gloria Colpritt of Tenants Harbor Maine.

My fathers cousin Albert Sylvia is on the left, my father is on the right. Albert Sylvias parents were Henrique(Harry Sylvia of Cape Verde and Mary Amelia Silva Silveira of Pico that lived in New Bedford. My Dads parents were Albert J and Mary Jacinta Silveira(Mary Amelias sister)of Pico Azores that lived in Gloucester Massachusetts.
