I have been researching my Irish Carrolls and Irish Quinns for 5 years as well as related lines. Carrolls back to Hamilton A. Carroll,
Sr of York District, SC abt 1812, and Quinns back to Michael Quinn of Oakville, Ontario,Canada abt late 1840's. Still don't know where in Ireland either line came from.All were Protestant.

Capt. James Quinn's obituary
A photo of James Quinn's obituary. Captain James Quinn sailed and owned many schooners. This is just one of the obits that appeared when he died Sept. 13, 1931 in Oakville, Ont. He and his wife and other family members are buried in St. Judes church in Oakville, Ontario. Capt. James was married to Annie MULLINS, she died in 1929.
