About me:
I am a lover of wildlife, the UK canals and life itself. I live onboard a narrowboat with my husband and have a fascination with family history.
About my family:
I am the mother to Six wonderful children and Seven grand-children. I have the most wonderful husband, who is my soul mate. I have discovered I have family across the world, just by doing my family tree.

I want to build a place where my son can meet his great-grandparents. My grandmother Marian Joyce (Benning) Kroetch always wanted to meet her great-grandchildren, but she died just a handful of years before my son's birth.
So while she didn't have the opportunity to meet him, at least he will be able to know her.

My father's side is full blood Sicilian and my mother's side is a combination of Welsh, Scottish, German and a few other European cultures. One of my more colorful (ahem black sheep) family members came over on the Mayflower. He was among the first to be hanged in the New World for a criminal offense he made while onboard the ship.

Janet was my mum. She was born to Joseph Harris and Doris May Owen in 1938 and grew up in Birmingham. Janet worked hard all her life, wither on the farm, or as a home help. She moved around with her husbands job as a dairyman. Janet had two children Joanne and Timothy. She sadly died from Cancer in 2020 at the age of 82.
