Lena (Tribbey) Henry Cook with someone unidentified
This is a photo of Lena Ethel (Tribbey) Henry Cook with someone unidentified in probably the 1920's (or 30's). She married Leroy Henry, the son of Mathias Henry and Catherine Ellen Fetters (of Darrtown, Milford Twp., Butler County, Ohio) in 1903 in Hamilton, Butler County, Ohio. Then she married Charles Cook, the son of William Cook and Susannah Diver (of Millville, Reily, Ross and Hamilton in Butler Co, Ohio), in 1920 in Hamilton, Butler County, Ohio. Nobody in the family (still living in April 2005) knew Leroy Henry and they only remember Charles Cook when he was very old. No photos have been found yet of Leroy or Charles. Lena's children were George Henry, Thelma "Peggy" Henry, Charles Ray Cook, Fred William Cook, and Clyde Warren Cook. Some of the streets in Hamilton where Lena lived while raising her children were Wayne St, S A Street, High St, Walnut, Pleasant Ave, S 14th St and Maple Ave.
This photo was shared with me by Clyde "Buck" Cook's daughter, Wanda in April 2005. Clyde was the youngest child of Lena.
Lena was the daughter of Nancy Farmer and George Tribbey. She was born in 1885 in Connersville, Fayette Co, Indiana and raised up in Oxford, Butler County, Ohio. Her paternal grandparents, Miles and Mary (Hammond) Tribbey lived in Jennings Co, Indiana and Butler Co, Ohio. They finished raising their family in Oxford, Ohio. Lena's father grew up in Oxford but married his first wife in Indiana then Lena was born in Indiana. Lena's mother, Nancy died in Oxford, Butler Co., Ohio in 1894 when Lena was about 9 years old. Lena's maternal grandparents were Stephen Farmer (born in Virginia) and Elizabeth "Betsey" Allen (born in New York) in Franklin Co, Indiana. In the 1900 census Lena is living with her father's sister and her family in Chicago, Illinois. The name Tribbey has also been spelled Tribby and Treby on records. It's the same name with different spellings.
Update: I talked to Lida Cook (the widow of Clyde Cook) on the telephone in 2006 and she told me that she thought the man in a photograph with Lena was Clyde Cook's real father, Pete Sturgeon (not sure if that's the name or a similiar name) but I don't know if she is talking about this photo or another photo since we just talked on the phone and I couldn't show her the photo I was talking about. It seems Clyde's daughter would have mentioned who the man could've been but she didn't know when she shared it. She was the one that told me about Clyde's real father. Some people thinks the man in the photo seems to look more like Lena's sons, Charles "Jinks" Cook and Fred "Bud" Cook.

Catherine Matheson
A photo of Catherine Matheson (born 1974) with Marion, Martha, and Doris. This is a studio photo of my ancestor Catherine Matheson (born 1874) and her friends, possibly all teachers in New York, taken in the 1890s or 1900s.
I have drawn a blank with Catherine for a good few years and hope that the other young ladies in the photo will have some descendants who will recognise them?
The names were written on the back but unfortunately there are no Studio/Photographer names to aid further identification.
Thanks for looking.
