I remember seeing cousin Jack on several occasions when he would stop in Baker City, OR to visit with family who lived there. He drove truck and I he lived in Portland, OR at the time. I thought he was a pretty nice guy.

This is a photograph of my great grandparents, James Alfred Spivey, son of Adniram & Evaline (Souther) Spivey, and his wife, Mary Elizabeth Rhea, daughter of William M. and Margaret Jane (Smalling) Rhea. He was the 8th child, and she was oldest in her family. The Spivey's were from GA, NC and TN, the Rhea's settled in Monroe Co., TN., before migrating to Baker County, OR in 1920.

Claude Raymond Spivey's WWII Photograph
Claude Raymond Spivey, my father, 29 years of age, served his time in the service with the Army/Air Force. While serving he was the main Cook, as well as working with the Radar Units when called upon to do so. During his time in service he spent time in different parts of California, to include Baha California, Camp Roberts, and also the Trinidad Islands before making his way to the Island of Puerto Rico, at Ramey Air Force Base, the island he met his future wife after his discharge from the Army.
