Dr. Thomas Jefferson Pitchford & sons, NC
Dr. Thomas Jefferson Pitchford & six sons: Thomas served in the NC State Senate. These sons were in the Confederate Army. Samuel enlisted but was sent home because of his age. 1 son was killed in the Battle of 7 Pines, another was shot in one of the last battles, dying on the way home.

Wilma Arlene Nelson
Bathtime! Wilma Arlene Nelson was born on January 14, 1916, in Oregon, her father, John, was 32 and her mother, Bertha Newman, was 23. She married Bertil Gustave Kallman on December 9, 1950, in Multnomah, Oregon. She died on January 25, 1965, in Clackamas, Oregon, at the age of 49, and was buried in Portland, Oregon.

Mary Leona Smith was born on December 11, 1892, in Salt Lake City, Utah, her father, Hyram, was 24 and her mother, Sarah, was 22. She married Alvin Theobald Thorup on April 15, 1914, in her hometown. They had three children in 11 years. She died on December 30, 1981, in Salt Lake City, Utah, at the age of 89. Here is a picture of her and her siblings! Mary Leona is the one in the chair.

Upton Shefford Peck, 1921
feeding his chickens...Upton Shefford Peck was born on January 3, 1920, in Iowa, the only child of Daniel and Alice Maud. He married Goldie Lillian Barrett on May 22, 1940, in Decorah, Iowa. They had seven children during their marriage. He died on May 24, 1989, at the age of 69.

Cousins George Engel and Lea Penman at 1236 Acoma Street, Denver, Colorado in 1912. After attending Denver University, Lea would later embark on a stage and screen career with her greatest achievement being cast as Dolly Tate in the 1946 Broadway Musical production of "Annie Get Your Gun", which opened at the Imperial Theatre in New York City on May 16, 1946 and ran for 1,147 performances and was the third longest running musical of the 1940s.
