Michael Rainey
About me:
Rainey----John Rainey 1798-1868 left Cork, Ireland in 1837 and settled in Troy, NY. With him came wife Mary (1804-1864)and sons John (1828-1892); Michael (1830-1904; Patrick (1833-187?) and Maurice (1836-1906). They branched out to Watervliet, NY, Schenectady N.Y, Dover, NJ and Rochester, NY. A few ended up in Alabama and Michigan.
I'm also interested in the O'Connor family. Michael O'Connor left Ireland in 1844 and settled in Waterford, NY. He had eight sons born in Waterford from 1850 to 1873 most stayed in Waterford and their children spread out to Mechanicville, NY and Hudson, NY.

2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!
