Formal photograph of the crew of the USS S36. My uncle Rupert is the chief machinest mate on the left, front row.
He served in the US Army, WWI & joined the navy in 1922. He served thru WWII and died in the Figi Islands,
1946.

He drove ammunition trucks and ambulances during the Meuse Argonne Offensive.

I received this a copy of this picture from a previously unknown cousin.
John and Hanna were from Louisiana and moved to Granger, Willimson Co. Texas. They are buried in the
Granger City Cemetery.
