Patricia Lafleche:
"Arthur I'll see at the Gates of Heaven. I spotted you in Providence as I was watching you suffer before you passed away. I want you to know that wherever you might be I hope you're watching over not just me but your parents and sister. I hope and pray for the love of Jesus Mary and Joseph you're not suffering any longer. I hope you and I meet again"

Mentor / Boss / Friend - I met Bill in 1977 when I went to work for Pamida Discount Center in Atchison, KS. He was the Store Manager's District Manager. Got to know Bill over the next couple of years as I was promoted. Eventually he promoted me to an Assistant Manager's job in Maryville, MO and gave me my own store in 1981 in Kingman, KS. My store was bought out by Gibson's Discount Center in late 1982 and I was able to return the favor and helped get Bill a job with Gibsons at a higher pay scale. He retired with Gibsons in Dodge City. I lost track of Bill in 1984 and never had the opportunity to thank him for helping me early on in my working career before leaving that life behind and going to college. Thank you Bill for everything -- I always admired you and appreciated you. Wish we could have stayed in touch. RIP in Heaven with your beautiful wife Rosie.
Lydia Steedman:
Grandpa Lyckholm - Melvin Lyckholm was my Grandfather. He was the Father of my Mom (Darlene June Lyckholm) and my Aunt (Betty Lyckholm)
I remember Grandpa and Grandma (Mae Elida Tackala) Lyckholm came to live with us when I was a young teenager. I loved them both very much. We had a 50th wedding anniversary party for them and shortly thereafter they took off for Minnesota to visit friends and family. After visiting Minnesota for only a few weeks, Grandpa became sick and was admitted to the hospital where he passed away from cancer a very short time later. So I never got to see him again. I was 16 1/2 by then. I was so sad. And I remember Grandma coming back from Minnesota without him. I remember hearing her cry at night and it broke my heart. What a sad time for all of us. Grandpa Lyckholm was a good man. I loved him and I still miss him and I am turning 65 this month. You never stop missing people we loved.
Thanks for letting me share,
Lydia June (Hackley) Steedman

School - Daisy was a school mate during the years i attended school in Mt Vernon. Remember one time when we were young, I was being picked on by a bully in the school, for i was small for my age. She jumped in between us, and she was a tall girl and made him back down.
Many years later my cousins visited our church, the two girls had to use a rest room and stopped at a open establishment to use a restroom and happened to run into Daisy, they got to talking and the girls told her they were my cousins and she said to make sure they tell me they were asking about me, and she was wondering what ever happened to me because i left when i was a junior in high school and moved to florida
Barbara Waites:
CW4 Howard E. Morton was a son to Joe and Irene Morton. He was a former husband of Barbara Morton Waites. He was a father to James Clifton Farrar, Kimber Leigh Farrar, and Marla Michele Morton. He served in the Army for almost 27 years, and was killed in an Army plane crash on December 1, 1989, at the age of 47. He also served as a Texas Highway Patrolman from 1966 through 1968, before returning to the Army after his younger brother, Billy Wayne Morton, was killed Viet Nam. Besties! - Marsha Rene Hill & I grew up together as youngsters and we had the most fascinating childhood as I remember. Marsha lived with her grandparents Uncle Earnest & Aunt Mozell. Aunt Mozell was a hairdresser & a beautiful woman. Marsha & I would wait at the top of the hill for Uncle Earnest to come home (I believe he worked in a furniture store), he would usually bring us a treat. We went to church together & one time when the choir was singing, they were jammin; Marsha & I got out into the aisle & start doing the "twist", (we didn't know it wasn't secular music, it just sounded good to us) Aunt Mozell took us outside & gave us a whooping!!! We never did THAT again, although we were very young Aunt Mozell made sure we understood never to do that again. I LOVED Marsha so much as one of my 1st childhood friends (we were cousins). I think of you lovingly all the time Marsha💜

Noel Heinrich:
First grade teacher - I had Ella as a First grade teacher in 1955 of course back then we all called her Mrs. Zieseniss. She always started the school day with a bible verse and Pledge of Allegiance. I remember my first day in school and she called me by my first name Noel, I didn't know that was my name because my mom & Dad called me by my middle name Max. It took me over a week till I told my mom the teacher was calling me by Noel and she told me that was my name what a shock for a 7-year-old. But everyone in the class knew she loved us all. She worked with me to correct my speech problems.
I remember the little field trips behind the school to a pond where we learned about tad poles and butterflies. Most of the children in my class lived on farms so we all learned about crop rotation and which minerals were removed from the soils and which crops would put them back in. My parents owned a Motel on US30 so I would ride the bus daily.
It was really enjoyable on show and tell day where my classmate would bring in baby farm animals' pigs, and an assortment of others including a skunk. I really enjoyed school and even attended bible study before school started,
I failed first grade and repeated it I was rather a sickly kid. But repeating made me even wanting to do better.
She instilled in me the want of knowledge and to live my life with respect for others.
My education went on and in college studied medicine, law and engineering.
worked at a number of hospitals and NASA and even the YMCA as a property manager for 26 years.
It was because she could see in me that light that she nursed that made me the person I am today at 75 years old and I have never forgotten her.
