As you can tell, both Kaye Ballard and Alice Ghostley were very funny women. Julie Andrews played Cinderella. Interestingly, it was the only Rodgers and Hammerstein musical written just for television. Two later versions were made for tv - one in 1965 (Leslie Ann Warren was Cinderella) and one in 1997 (Brandy played Cinderella).

Her career took off in the 1940's, when she began as a musical comedian with the Spike Jones tour. She went on to perform in every venue: stage, movies, and television, until she announced her retirement in 2015 at age 89.
She died of natural causes at her home in Rancho Mirage, California on January 21st, 2019 at the age of 93. She never married or had children.
