Charlotte arrived on the 2nd Fleet to Sydney Cove on the Lady Juliana 04/06/1790. She was sent to Norfolk Island on the Surprise on 01/08/1790. Charlotte had a relationship with William Dodge and had 3 children with him, Ralph, William and Sarah. William Dodge settled on the Hawkesbury River District NSW and had no further contact with his children or Charlotte. Charlotte then cohabited ate with Hugh McGinnis 3rd Fleet at Norfolk Island. Their children were Hugh 1798, Rebecca 1800, John Hall 08/05/1802 and Elizabeth 1808.
Charlotte's other surnames were Hall/Simpson, Simpson, Dodge and various spellings of McGinnis, Maguines, Maginnis, McGinnis,McGinniss etc.
Hugh arrived ar Port Jackson NSW on 10/04/1791 3rd FLEET, on the Queen and was transferred to Norfolk Island. Under the command of Richard Owen the Queen left Cork Ireland on 10/04/1791. The Queen was the first ship to bring convicts to Australia from Ireland. Hugh married Charlotte Hall (Simpson) arrived 2nd FLEET, Lady Juliana 04/06/1790. Charlotte born Simpson/Hall was born in London UK 1767. After arriving in Sydney NSW, Charlotte was sent to Norfolk Island on Surprise on 01/08/1790. She had a relationship with William Thomas Dodge and they had 3 children, Ralph, William and Sarah. Charlotte married Hugh on 16/10/1810 at Hobart, Tasmania and they had 5 children including Hugh Jnr 1798, John Hall 1802 and Elizabeth 1808. Charlotte died 31/12/1828 at Carlton, Tasmania.
Elizabeth (Thomas) McGinnis was born in 1797 in Norfolk Island. Elizabeth McGinnis was in a relationship with Hugh McGinnis Jnr, and has a child Sarah McGinnis. Family, friend, or fan, this family history biography is for you to remember Elizabeth (Thomas) McGinnis.
Hugh McGinnis Jnr was born in 1798 to Hugh McGinnis and Charlotte Hall. He was in a relationship with Elizabeth (Thomas) McGinnis, and had a child Sarah McGinnis. John McGinnis 1838-1922 Married 18/07/1861 at Sorell, Tasmania to Elizabeth McWilliams also known as Williams. Father of 12 children including Florence Emeline McGinnis who married William George Alberry Jnr. Elizabeth McWilliams 1845 -1938 is the daughter of James McWilliams and Sarah McGinnis 1821-1913 they married 24/02/1840 in Hobart Tasmania. James and Sarah had 7 children.
Florence Emmeline (McGinnes) Alberry of Sunbury Australia was born on March 19, 1865 in Sorell, Sorell Council County, TAS to John McGinness and Elizabeth (McWilliams) McGuiness. Florence Alberry married William George Alberry in Tasmania, and died at age 66 years old in 1931 in Sunbury.
