I want to build a place where my son can meet his great-grandparents. My grandmother Marian Joyce (Benning) Kroetch always wanted to meet her great-grandchildren, but she died just a handful of years before my son's birth.
So while she didn't have the opportunity to meet him, at least he will be able to know her.

My father's side is full blood Sicilian and my mother's side is a combination of Welsh, Scottish, German and a few other European cultures. One of my more colorful (ahem black sheep) family members came over on the Mayflower. He was among the first to be hanged in the New World for a criminal offense he made while onboard the ship.

Shirley was the daughter of Elizabeth Nichols (nee Hoare). It is unclear if she was the daughter of her mothers first husband, a Mr Wright or second husband Arthur Alexander Nichols. She had siblings Fred Wright, Joan Wright, Marlene, Sandra Nichols, Rita Nichols and Arthur Alexander Terrence (Terry) Nichols. The family story is that Shirley and her sister Marlene died of illness during the war which was blamed on them sleeping on cold concrete in the London Underground during bombing in WW2. It is thought Marlene was the elder and Shirley the younger of the two as they were referred to as 'Marlene and Shirley' but it is unclear where they come in sibling succession.

Fred married Margaret and moved to Australia where he owned a factory in Frankston, Victoria, Australia. They had no children.

She is the second child and only daughter of Terry-Ann Davies (nee Nichols) 29th June 1963 of Brixton Hill, London, England, and Michael Phillip Davies 27th October 1961 of Mildura, Victoria Australia. She has a brother, Hew Evan Nichols Davies 5th September 1991.

Michael Phillip Davies is the second child and second son of John Collin Davies 14th May of Mildura and Nola Jean Davies (nee Smythe) 18th October of Merbein. On 5th November 1988 Michael married Terry-Ann Nichols 29th June 1963 but later divorced. They had two children, Hew Evan Nichols Davies 5th September 1991 and Adelaide Violet Nichols Davies 30 January 1993.
Connor Alexander Joseph Thompson is the third child and second son of Leigh Sandra Nichols-Thompson (nee Nichols) 28th May 1962 married Joseph Russell (Russell) Thompson, 27/06/1956 He has an older sister Verity Arden Sophia and an older brother Vaughn Joseph Cecil. He lived on French Island where he had a motor bike crash, he died at the scene. His older brother Vaughn worked tirelessly to save his baby brother.
Vaughn Joseph Cecil is the second child and first son of Leigh Sandra Nichols-Thompson (nee Nichols) 28th May 1962 and Joseph Russell (Russell) Thompson. He has an older sister Verity Arden Sophia Thompson and a younger brother Connor Alexander Joseph (dec). He lived on French Island and had children.
