Louise Parcher
I've "rescued" an old photograph of Louise PARCHER which was taken at the C. S. Bishoff Studio in Maryville, MO. Louise is listed as 5 months old at the time the photograph was taken and weighs 20 lbs. It appears to have been taken in the early 1900's. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Louise and her family:
Louise PARCHER was b. 6 Feb 1900 in Maryville, MO to parents Charles Lyman PARCHER (1872-1940) and Nellie MARTIN (1869-1937). Louise was one of 4 children born to this couple including, Charles Ellston; Lyman Martin; Louise; and Theodore Hoblit PARCHER, all born between 1896 and 1902. Louise married Cecil Hunter or U. CLEGG (1873-1956) and she died 11 Jul 1991 in Santa Barbara, CA and is buried in the Santa Barbara Cemetery there.
Census records provide the following details:
1910 census of Maryville, MO:
Charles L. PARCHER, age 38, married 14 years, born IA, parents born OH/Ireland, a Lumber Merchant
Nellie M. PARCHER, wife, age 40, married 14 years, 4 children/4 living, born MO, parents born PA/OH
Charles Ellston PARCHER, son, age 13, born MO
Lyman M. PARCHER, son, age 12, born MO
Louise PARCHER, dau, age 9, born MO
Theo Hoblit PARCHER, son, age 7, born MO
1920 census of Portland, OR:
Charles L. PARCHER, age 47, born IA, parents born OH/IL, a Lumber Proprietor
Nellie M. PARCHER, wife, age 49, born MO, parents born PA/OH
Lyman M. PARCHER, son, age 21, born MO, a Wholesale Grocery Clerk
Louise PARCHER, dau, age 19, born MO, a Law Office Stenographer
Theodore H. PARCHER, son, age 17, born MO
1930 census of Fairbanks, AK:
Louise PARCHER, age 29, born MO, parents born OH/MO, a Court Stenographer
I am hoping to be able to return the photograph to family and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family, or know someone who might be.
Thanks,
Shelley

Santa & Zachariah Thomas Mackey Hargis
A photo of Santa Claus, Zachariah Thomas Mackey Hargis, and maybe Shirley Temple(?) taken by American Photo Service, Hollywood, California #AP-5512. Zack was in some older movies, posed for painters, worked circus and sideshows. I have tried to identifly the little girl from family photos and found her not to be a family member. I have wondered if this was Shirley Temple sitting on his lap.
If any one can identify the little girl or the clown, please let me know, or even if a date range may be given. Thank you.
