My maiden name is Cook. My mother's maiden name is Mounce. I am researching their parents last names and my grandparent's last names as well. My dad's mother really wasn't a Northup, but he treated her as a daughter and I'd like to know about them as well.

Cook and Story Family
This is a photo of my grandpa and his family. My grandpa is the tall man on the left. His name is Ira Ole Cook. Infront of him is my uncle Stanley Kenny Cook. Next to my grandpa is his wife Leah June Northup (my grandma). She is holding a baby, Genoah Cook (my aunt). The older man in the middle of the photo is Ira's dad, Samuel Henry Harrison Cook. Harrison's wife is also in the picture standing on the left of him. Her name is Julia "Julie" Parlee Story. I don't know all the people in this photo, but I'm thinking that they are Julie's brothers and sisters. So they would be in the Story family.
Ocie Oler Deaton
This is my grandma. She is the daughter of John Franklin Deaton and Sarah Lou Lytal. She is the wife of Ira Mounce. This photo was in the wallet of her son, Charles Herman Mounce when he was KIA in Korea.
Ira Mounce and Ocie Oler Deaton
They are my grandparents. Ira Mounce is the son of William Riley "Dick" Mounce and Elizabeth Jane Lackey. Ocie Oler Deaton is the daughter of John Franklin Deaton and Sarah Lou Lytal. They are the parents of Martha Ellen Mounce, Charles Herman Mounce, Alvis Ray Mounce, Harland Wid Mounce, Ocie Lee Mounce, Betty Lou Mounce, Dorothy May Mounce (my mom), Truman Mounce and Carol June Mounce.
Elizabeth Jane Lackey Mounce
This is my great grandma. She married William Riley "Dick" Mounce. She is the mother of my grandpa, Ira Mounce. She is the daughter of John Lackey and Hannah Burwell, whom I know nothing about. If anybody has any pictures of John Lackey b. 1829 Ky or his wife Hannah Burwell please contact me.

My Dad, Howard Van Brunt, is the U.S. solider on the right in the front row. This was probably taken in Italy (possibly Rome) during 1944. Notice what the men have in their hands. Can anyone indentify any of the others or what country they were from?

My maternal grandfather, Fred William "Bud" Cook standing outside of the Rialto Theatre "Rialto Theater" in Hamilton, Butler County, Ohio in April 1940.
Fred "Bud" was still 20 years old when this photo was taken.
It's written on the back of this photo that the photo was taken in April 1940 by Wilbur Wright but Wilbur Wright died in 1912. The photo could have actually been taken by Wilbur's brother, Orville Wright or by a different person named Wilbur Wright.
Fred was the son of Charles and Lena Ethel (Tribbey) Cook. He married Helen Josephine (Sositko) Henry in 1946.

Outlaw William "Bill" Tuttle Cook
This is my great great grandpa. He lived in Madison County Arkansas. He was an outlaw. He and his brother, James formed the Cook Outlaw Gang and Crawford Goldsby (Cherokee Bill) was in the gang. They robbed and terrorized the Indian Nations. He was murdered on his farm in Madison County Arkansas by someone unknown.

She is my great great grandmother. She married William "Bill" Tuttle Cook and had Samuel Henry Harrison Cook(my great grandpa). They had several other children. Harrison was the youngest.

John Franklin Deaton with wife Sarah Lou (Lytal) Deaton. Children are Asa (Buddy) Deaton, Leona Deaton (son and daughter of Frank by previous marriage), Virgil Lytal (Sarah's son by a previous marriage standing beside Frank), The baby is Ben Deaton (son of Frank and Sarah). Sarah is pregnant with my grandma in this picture that's how I know this was taken in 1909 because she was born in 1910. John and Sarah are my great grandparents.

They are my grandparents. Ira Mounce is the son of William Riley "Dick" Mounce and Elizabeth Jane Lackey. Ocie Oler Deaton is the daughter of John Franklin Deaton and Sarah Lou Lytal.
