Back of photo: "Edward Allan Gisburne..age 2 years, 6 months X-mas 1894". Edward is listed in the Rhode Island Births, 1636-1930: parents listed as Edward E. & Nellie W. Gisburne, with date of birth June 14, 1892. In the 1910 US Census Edward is listed living with his grandmother, Catherine Allen in Quincy, MA.
Original photo reunited with family member in San Jose, CA in November, 2008.

"There is A man of strength,wisdom and a awesome Guide who my mom and her siblings along with Texas Government feared back in the early 1970s his name was Indian Joe who was fighting Government who was trying to steal his land. He no doubt scared my great uncle Skipper POWELL and my uncle Utzi and my mom many others almost to their deaths they told story of. Even houston newspapers and news had him all wrong. I honesty know for fact he is good man. Indian Joe is my spiritual friend who has kept me protected for anytime evil entered my land he made it known to everyone one these men around conroe once you walk inside Unique Lady Kittyz gate you want ever forget oh Indian Joe. Gabriel,Derek,John Weaver and many more men tell you Indian Joe Scared the poop out them. They would never enter inside her gate again. A photo of Will Rogers on the radio in 1930. His radio show was the most popular Sunday evening show, his newspaper columns were read by millions of people in the US, and he was the second biggest motion picture box office draw.
A great wit, Will Rogers died in a plane crash in Point Barrow, Alaska Territory in August of 1935. (Alaska didn't become a state until almost 25 years later.)

I have an old studio photograph of Guy KETTERER which was taken at the Burkholder & Co. Studio in Orrville, OH. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1890's with Guy appearing to be about 3 years old at the time it was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Guy and his family:
Guy David Dewitt KETTERER was b. 8 Oct 1889 in Cleveland or Apple Creek, OH to parents William “Willie” KETTERER (1862-1913) and Sybil Della BARNES (1864-1942) who were married 6 May 1884 in Wayne County, OH. Guy was one of four children born to this couple including Cora E.; Baby Boy; Baby Boy; and Guy David Dewitt KETTERER, all born between 1884 and 1889. Guy married twice, first to Caroline STOCKON (1893-1931) on 2 Apr 1918 in Hillsborough County, FL and second to Anna “Annie” Margaret or Marie SANDS (1874-1958) in 1933 in Pinellas County, FL, they divorced in 1951.
Guy died 28 Jul 1955 in Tampa, FL and is buried in the Westlawn Cemetery in Mount Eaton, OH.

Lizzy Canedy:
This is a portrait of my great-grandmother Eva Alice Canedy (nee Call). She was William Floyd Canedy's mother. I don't know much about her as my grandfather didn't know much either but she's a lovely looking woman who died far too young.
I was lucky enough to this photo negative, which itself was a copy made of the daguerreotype in the 1980s, in my family's collection. Even luckier to have a transparent media adapter attachment of a flatbed scanner. This is perhaps the first time this photo has been viewed in almost 40 years, and I'm happy to get to share it with the world.

DAISY PRICE MELTON, 103 years old, left us on Jan. 22, 2005. Services were held in Phila. on Jan. 29, 2005. Daisy was born in Johnsville, GA on May 18, 1901. We all will miss her warm smile and wonderful laugh. Devoted mother of Annie B., George, Millie, Thelma, Annie Davis and Bobby. Loving grandmother of 43; great grand mother of 122; great great grand mother of 60; great great great grand mother of 12; and a host of family and friends. We will all miss you.
