A photo of Gladys (Simmons) Van Kleeck and her cat Patsy. I'm amazed that the cat is calmly sitting for the portrait. All the cats I've known would have panicked at the strange setting and found some large piece of furniture to hide under.

Dorothy Gish, Actress - Silent & 'Talkies' Films
Dorothy Elizabeth Gish (born March 11th, 1898 in Dayton Ohio, and died June 4th, 1968 in Rapallo Italy) was an actress who began her acting career in the 1918 World War I film "Hearts of the World" where she played a comical role as a street singer. Dorothy's performance did so well, that Paramount produced a series of seven comedies where Dorthy Gish played the main role - specializing in pantomime and comedy; all of which generated significant profits for the production studio. Unfortunately, nearly all of these films have been lost/damaged.
Dorothy Gish appeared in a few other films, stage productions, and television series venturing into the new medium of 'talking pictures'. Her sister, Lillian Gish, had an acting career (predominately performing in large epic roles) which spanned 75 years across the stage, films, and television.
